This Powerspark Electronic Ignition Kit is designed to replace the points and condenser inside a Lucas 25D and DM2 Distributor. The Lucas 25D and DM2 were fitted to a wide range of vehicles built by BMC in the 1960s and 1970s, as well as others. It is a complete kit to convert your car to electronic ignition, including a Powermax moulded Red Rotor Arm. Fitting is easy and instructions are included with the packaging, as well as available online.

Powerspark Electronic Ignition explained in more detail:
The kit uses a simple magnetic trigger and optimises dwell to provide a reliable and consistent spark across the rev range. It is easy to install and maintenance free.
Each kit comprises a baseplate with electronic module, trigger ring and all wiring. The new electronic baseplate mounts exactly where the points and condenser baseplate sat. The kit connects directly to the coil using the wires provided, red to the positive side and black to the negative side. The ignition kit will automatically shut down if the ignition is left switched on without the engine running to prevent component damage.
Powerspark Electronic Ignition Kits are designed to work with a coil resistance above 1.5 ohms, typically 3.0 ohms. Some performance coils operate at a lower resistance and will need the High Energy electronic ignition kit.

Is replacement for the old one....because it broke down.. I left the contact several hours on without knowing ...

Easily fitted and works well.
Great product, had difficulty following the fitting instructions but Powerspark were very helpful when contacted for clarification.
As always, a 1st class product and service from the guys at Powerspark. Not a lot else to say except the kit works perfectly and is extremely good value for money. Highly recommended.
Fitted today very pleased with the set, started first time, noticeable difference in power and smoother running, had to lengthen the black wire, very pleased , quality unit with excellent instructions really pleased.
