K2 & R1 - Powerspark Electronic Ignition Kit (Negative Earth) to suit Lucas 25D 23D Distributor
This electronic kit is designed to replace the points and condenser inside a Lucas 25D distributor, giving you electronic ignition at the turn of your key.
The Lucas 23D or 25D Distributor was fitted to many classic vehicles from Austin, Hillman, Land Rover, MG, Morris, Reliant, Sunbeam, Triumph, Vanden Plas and Wolseley as well as European marques.

Powerspark Electronic Ignition explained in more detail:
The kit uses a simple magnetic trigger and optimises dwell to provide a reliable and consistent spark across the rev range. It is easy to install and maintenance free.
Each kit comprises a baseplate with electronic module, trigger ring and all wiring. The new electronic baseplate mounts exactly where the points and condenser baseplate sat. The kit connects directly to the coil using the wires provided, red to the positive side and black to the negative side. The ignition kit will automatically shut down if the ignition is left switched on without the engine running to prevent component damage.
Powerspark Electronic Ignition Kits are designed to work with a coil resistance above 1.5 ohms, typically 3.0 ohms. Some performance coils operate at a lower resistance and will need the High Energy electronic ignition kit.

Austin 1300
I ordered this kit for my 1973 Austin 1300 for the benefit of added reliability and being maintenance-free over the old points setup. Delivery was very quick and fitting the kit was really simple. The car now starts more easily from cold and runs far better, it now sails up the steep access road to my house in second where I used to have to change down to first. I'm very pleased with the result.

Good delivery. Nice looking piece of gear, silicon cable is nice to see. Aiming to use on a gs1000 bike to replace points, Had it Jerry rigged on the bench with twin output points coil and really good spark. Got to make a new, single magnet rotor so will see how it goes.
