K2 & R1 - Powerspark Electronic Ignition Kit (Negative Earth) to suit Lucas 25D 23D Distributor
This electronic kit is designed to replace the points and condenser inside a Lucas 25D distributor, giving you electronic ignition at the turn of your key.
The Lucas 23D or 25D Distributor was fitted to many classic vehicles from Austin, Hillman, Land Rover, MG, Morris, Reliant, Sunbeam, Triumph, Vanden Plas and Wolseley as well as European marques.

Powerspark Electronic Ignition explained in more detail:
The kit uses a simple magnetic trigger and optimises dwell to provide a reliable and consistent spark across the rev range. It is easy to install and maintenance free.
Each kit comprises a baseplate with electronic module, trigger ring and all wiring. The new electronic baseplate mounts exactly where the points and condenser baseplate sat. The kit connects directly to the coil using the wires provided, red to the positive side and black to the negative side. The ignition kit will automatically shut down if the ignition is left switched on without the engine running to prevent component damage.
Powerspark Electronic Ignition Kits are designed to work with a coil resistance above 1.5 ohms, typically 3.0 ohms. Some performance coils operate at a lower resistance and will need the High Energy electronic ignition kit.

4 cylinder electronic ignition kit
fitted new kit to Rover P6 today, car started and ran perfectly on all 4 cylinders.,set ignition timing up as instructed in maintenance manual,working fine at present.

Great but simple to fit they say that you only get what you pay for. But with this simple to fit kit you really do get great value for money. Which is great for any classic car owner

Over the years I've fitted lots of these kits and similar to lots of different classic cars, all from Powerspark. Never a problem, 5 stars all the way.

K2 Electronic Ignition Lucas 25D & DM2
Easy to install and seems to work well. Only thing I found not suitable was the part provided that allows the positive and negative wires to exit the DM2 distributor. The part did not fit which was unfortunate.

I had a problem creating an account so telephoned and spoke with David who solved that problem easily and took my order over the telephone also. Product arrived on time and was easily fitted following the instructions printed on the packaging, I would have liked a separate printed larger sheet for the instructions as the print is quite small. It transformed the running of the engine in my Series 2A Land Rover. My distributor was in very good mechanical condition otherwise I would have bought a complete unit. So far ( the K2 kit has only been in the vehicle for a short time), a very good product and one I recommend. Hopefully it will continue working as well for a long time. So far very good service hence 5 stars.

I could not be more happy with this product my mgb has been out of action for over 12 months lots of new parts eg. wiring loom so am happy its finally a goer.
