Product Description
Powerspark Lucas 25D Distributor
The Lucas 25D Distributor is a vacuum advance model widely used in many British classic cars.
It was used in iconic classics such as the Land Rover Series, MGB, Morris Minor, Triumph 1300/1500 and many, many more. If you are unsure about fitment please contact us.
This is a brand new casting, taking from an original model and redeveloped by Powerspark with improved features from the 45D distributor which replaced the 25D.
With years of experience using Lucas products, we added an additional oil seal on the shaft of our 25D. This makes for a better, longer lasting product, while remaining aesthetically identical to the original Lucas 25D. It also features a tamper proof vacuum advance unit with later push on vacuum connection.
Our Powerspark 25D is available as standard points, with built in electronic ignition and as High Energy. It is available in both positive and negative earth variants.
We also offer versions of this distributor that have been specifically developed for the Mini 998cc and 1275cc vacuum advance - exclusive to Powerspark.
This is a brand new quality product, reproduced accurately from original castings. The distributor is complete with everything you need.
Points models come with a brand new points set. Electronic Ignition models replace the points set with our patented Powerspark Electronic Ignition module.
Powerspark Electronic Ignition is the original electronic ignition conversion for classic cars, giving reliable starting and hassle free ownership.

Good replacement for old design.
Many years with no problems .

Only the best
Having used Powerspark Electronic ignition systems on a number of classic cars I cannot honestly fault them. I did have a problem at one point but soon discovered it was due to me not following the instructions. When my Austin Nash Metropolitan recently started having problems accellerating, I traced the issue to a failed dizzy. I immediately ordered a replacement from SimonBBC, with Electronic ignition fitted. Once fitted in the proper position in the car the change was dramatic. I'd recommend this product for anyone with a car needing a Lucas D25 distributor in the car.

25 d electronic ignition.
Shame there is no markings on the vacuum advance but not a problem. Easy to install . Early days as just fitted ,but there seems to be an improvement . Lets hope its reliable, miles will tell the story. First impressions are positive. The only issue was the side entry distributor cap, the holes were to small for the powerspark leads. I had to tremel them out to fit , which wasnt a great start....

Chnage to electronic ignition
After many years of resisting the move to electronic ignition the last bout of starting issues in my Triumph Herald made me bite the bullet - I liked this option it had a high spark unit already installed and still looked like the original dizzy. The fitting was easy - after I got it lined up properly. This combined with the Viper Hih power coil has made a massive difference to the starting and running - it is like a different car. It had so much more power than before and was much smoother. I can highly recommend the change and buying from Powerspark was easy. I highly recommend!
