The Viper VCE Dry Ignition Coil is a modern high performance 0.8 ohm coil designed for Powerspark high energy ignition kits and distributors and some factory installed electronic ignition systems.
Unlike a traditional coil, the Viper uses a dry resin core instead of oil. This does away with temperamental performance associated with sloshing or dripping fluid, while keeping the same design format of a traditional coil. This resin core is encased in a smart silver painted metal housing, which will fit directly in place of your existing coil. What's more, having a solid dry core means the Viper coil can be mounted on any angle.

I really cannot give an expert view as to the quality. It appears well made and the Engine 3.5. V8 runs well on it.
if you have a mini running the 65DM4 distributor, this is the coil to use, correct resistance, the difference in driving and starting is noticable, about time some coils that work!
Just fitted this coil together with the matching high energy distributor and silicon leads to my 72 MGB. As expected immediate improvement in running. Minor niggle is that this coil is slightly smaller diameter than the stock coil. The bracket really needs longer legs to better reach the standard fixing bolt spacings
