Some of these bundles give you an option for Top or Side Entry cap.
Please make sure that if you choose a HIGH ENERGY distributor, you also choose a HIGH ENERGY ignition coil.
Spark plugs are optional and are matched to your engine.
This is an ignition bundle for your classic Volkswagen, choose from the available options depending on what your car needs.

Distributor - Points
A reproduction of the original points distributor, built to the original manufacturer standards. Gives the advantages of a new casting, new distributor cap, new drive gear, new points and new rotor arm.
Distributor - Electronic
Looks like an original points distributor but contains an electronic ignition module. Instead of points, it uses a simple magnetic trigger ring to sense ignition, meaning no more fiddling with your points gap, easier starting and smoother running all round. To be used with a Standard or Sports ignition coil, resistance reading above 1.4ohms. Not suitable for use with copper HT Leads
Distributor - High Energy (ONLY FOR USE WITH HIGH ENERGY IGNITION COIL)
As above but with 3 x the spark power.

Coil - Powerspark CS Coil (CS)
A traditional classic car ignition coil from Powerspark. Suitable for any points type ignition system or distributor, and perfect for our Powerspark Points Replacement Electronic Ignition Kits. This item replaces Lucas DLB105 Ignition Coil.
Coil - Powerspark CE Coil (CE)
See Powerspark CS description for details. This is the High Energy version.
Coil - Viper (VCS)
The Viper Dry Ignition Coil is a modern high performance 3.0 ohm coil designed to replace your traditional oil filled coil. Unlike a traditional coil, the Viper uses a dry resin core instead of oil. This does away with temperamental performance associated with sloshing or dripping fluid, while keeping the same design characteristics of a traditional coil. This resin core is encased inside a smart chrome aluminium housing, which will fit directly in place of your existing coil. What's more, having a solid dry core means the Viper coil can be mounted on any angle. Designed to out perform even the best oil filled coils, perfect for classic cars that use points or electronic ignition.

Coil - Lucas DLB105
A genuine Lucas high performance 12v ignition coil, Lucas part number DLB105. Primary resistance of 3.0 Ohms. Push in HT connection. Supplied complete with bracket and relevant fixings.
Coil - Lucas DLB198 (ONLY FOR USE WITH A HIGH ENERGY DISTRIBUTOR)
A genuine Lucas Sports Ignition Coil, Lucas part number DLB198. Sports coil, 0.8 Ohm resistance for High Energy Electronic Ignition
Delivers a high performance, faster spark, producing up to 40,000 volts with 3 Ohms primary resistance.
