The Lucas 45D Distributor was one of the most widely used distributors ever made, and we offer a number of replacements for this model including traditional points, standard electronic and high energy variants with either side or top entry distributor caps.
This item is a Powerspark 45D Top Entry Electronic Distributor. It contains a Powerspark electronic ignition module which will give you improved starting and reliability when compared to traditional points.
The Lucas 45D 4 Cylinder distributor was used in multiple vehicles from many manufacturers in the 1970s and 80s.

The original Ford Over Head Valve OHV three main bearing Kent engine arrived in 1959 with the then brand new Anglia 105.
It widely referred to as the pre-crossflow Kent or pre-crossflow, in reverse-flow cylinder head configuration with both the inlet and exhaust being on the same side of the head.

Standard Electronic Ignition Distributors (often known as Sports Electronic):
Looks like an original points distributor but contains an electronic ignition module
- To be used with a Standard or Sports ignition coil, resistance reading above 1.4ohms. Not suitable for use with copper HT Leads
- Available as Negative Earth or Positive Earth for most of our distributors and ignition kits.
