Product Description
Dynalite C39 and C40 Lucas Dynamo Replacement
The original alternator that looks like a dynamo!
Designed, tested and built by Powerlite, this unit delivers the performance of a modern alternator whilst retaining the period look of a dynamo.
Ideal for both road and competition use the Dynalite provides up to 80% more power and weigh up to 40% less than original dynamo units.
This Dynalite unit replaces the Lucas C39 and C40 dynamo, and is available in either negative or positive earth, both with and without a tacho drive.
A Dynalite gives you the performance of a modern alternator with the look and appearance of a traditional dynamo.
Offering 80% more power with 40% less weight than your dynamo, the Dynalite is the sensible choice for the classic car enthusiast.
In many cases the original dynamo pulleys can also be used on the new units, creating a simple and reversible alternator conversion. These are self-regulating units, offering increased reliability and performance, charging efficiently across the rev range.
We have found these Dynalite products to be far superior to cheaper alternatives.
All Dynalite units come with a LIFETIME WARRANTY and are supplied with comprehensive fitting instructions.
Manufactured in the West Midlands, UK.
Fitment Details:
Please Note! These are the cars that we KNOW featured the Lucas C39 and C40 dynamo, there are many, many more that we don't know of.
The best way to find out which Dynalite your car needs is to first establish the Lucas part number of your dynamo.
