D34P - Powerspark Lucas 25D Distributor Points for Ford Zephyr 4 cylinder and 400E
A custom made distributor designed to directly replace your original.
Ford used the Lucas 25D 4 Cylinder distributor in many of their 4 cylinder engines. This used a different drive gear to the Lucas 25D used by most British manufacturers.
It is this change to the drive gear that distinguishes the Ford version of the 25D distributor from the unit used by Austin, MG, Triumph, Land Rover et al.
This product suits 4 cylinder versions of the Ford Zephyr (1966-68), Consul (1951-55) and Thames 400E (1957-65)
It may fit other Ford vehicles depending on what your car has fitted. Please contact us if you are unsure.
We offer this distributor in points, electronic, electronic positive earth and High Energy variants.
When we developed our Lucas 25D distributor we wanted to improve on some of the known areas of weakness in the original Lucas 25D.
When Lucas replaced the 25D with the 45D they added an extra oil seal to the shaft, so we have done this with our revised 25D. This extra oil seal makes our distributor longer lasting than other alternatives that are out there.
Electronic variants of this distributor replace the original points with a Powerspark ignition module, which uses a simple magnetic trigger ring to sense ignition instead of traditional points.
Aesthetically this distributor is indistinguishable from the original items. It has a tamper proof vacuum advance unit with later push on vacuum connection.
We offer this Ford geared Lucas 25D6 6 Cylinder distributor in the following combinations:
Powerspark Lucas 25D Distributor Points for Ford Zephyr 4 cylinder and 400E (D34P)
Powerspark Lucas 25D Distributor Electronic for Ford Zephyr 4 cylinder and 400E (D34)
